In 2003, Steve embarked on a career in Commercial Real Estate and has been passionate about it ever since. Following seven years at prominent brokerage firms, he established Richel Commercial Brokerage LLC in 2010. Steve’s achievements stem from his unwavering commitment, meticulous attention to each client’s unique requirements, and a deep, understanding of the market. His expertise spans tenant representation, landlord representation, and investment sales. Presently, Steve exclusively represents over 1.3 million square feet of properties across New Jersey. Over the years, he has finalized more than 450 lease deals, covering over 6.5 million square feet, alongside 165 sales transactions valued at over $750 million.

“I knew since I was very young, I wanted to be a salesman.” My Grandfather and my father were my heroes in this category, so it seemed like a natural profession to try to go into. I was very fortunate to be able to join our family business, Lanco Adhesives, an industrial adhesives distribution company, which was started by my father Jack, and my brother TJ in 1993. Lanco Adhesives supplies packaging adhesives to small and mid-sized manufacturers, anywhere on the east coast. After over 30 years of consistent growth, we not only built a very strong company, but also a culture of wonderful employees continuing the same family values we began with, and this is what I am most proud of. Lanco Adhesives continues to thrive today, being run by my brother TJ, as CEO.

After 30 years in the family business, I decided to go out on my own. After some very casual discussions with Steve Richel at Richel Commercial, the opportunity to join their sales team was very difficult to say no to. I have known Mike Jensen and Steve for many years and always had a lot of respect for them. I have a passion for commercial real estate and have personal experience both leasing and owning commercial property, so this seemed like a natural sales fit for me once again. I am really looking forward to all the possibilities ahead of us and applying my industrial sales experience with Steve and Mike in this new endeavor.
